The next Dubai’s un-conference is going to happen in 4 days from now. In the past few weeks I have been working with a couple of friends to see a flow for the beginning session. It will be a two hour collective session and the initial objective we saw for it was: To collectively bring more visibility, clarity and shared vision to the group, with regards to Sustainability and the complex co-relation between social, economic and environmental factors. Finally, after a journey of co-sensing and co-designing with a couple of friends, the flow for this session is in place. Knowing the importance of the framing for the collective journeys, today morning I have been sitting with the question of “What is the new field of possibility that needs to be framed?” And here is what I have been able to see so far:
Source of Intelligence
This session will be about accessing a source of intelligence which is called collective intelligence. The processes we use allow us to access this source of intelligence which holds an amazing potential for collective creativity and innovation, yet still is a road less traveled.
Leadership Paradigm
Through this session we will experience a new way of leadership that is fully participatory, and allows everyone to be present and collaborate with others in a more authentic way. This path invites our FULL selves to be on board with others in a collective leadership role.
Learning & Creativity
Shifting our source of intelligence from individual to WHOLE, and operating from a participatory leadership paradigm will open our community to a new field of future possibilities, and a field-journey of profound learning and creativity.
Systemic Transformation
Addressing every complex domain of a social field, such as Sustainability, requires processes that are systemic. Dealing with a high level of complexity, linear processes that apply standard tools / solutions to the problem will eventually add to the complexity of the problem in the long run. Living systems and societies are very different from machines. In order to transform our communities and organizations to a healthier state, we need to approach them systemically.
With that, and if you are present in Dubai on Saturday 26th of February, I would like to invite you for a day of un-conferencing around Sustainability. It happens at Dubai Knowledge Village from 9:30am to 6:30pm, and it will be a day of having fun, while learning and creating a better future together. Looking forward to meeting you!
