Hey, flying geese!
Masters of migration to the new worlds,
Humble explorers of the unknown lands,
Co-travellers…

~

Tell me,

What are your hearts burning for,
when you decide to take off
and fly away
non-stop
TOGETHER
in search of a new home.

How does it feel
in that moment of trust!
when you shift your weight from your feet to your wings
to jump into the ethereal space between earth and the sky?!

What do you see
flying so high
constantly staring at the horizon?

How do you keep listening to the calling
from the new lands
and sense the direction together?

I want to know…

When you have your feet on the ground again
don’t forget to capture the story
and share it with others.

Field work, football and Tiki Taka

Many of those who follow international soccer are astonished by the quality of the team play demonstrated by the Spanish national team and FC Barcelona in the past couple of years. Not only it’s pleasing to the eye, but also very effective to an extent that they have won the World Cup and multiple European championships. Their style of play is known as Tiki Taka, commonly spelled tiqui-taca in Spanish. In Wikipedia is it shortly described as “A style of play characterised by short passing and movement, working the ball through various channels, and maintaining possession.” With Tiki Taka the ball is continuously passed between team members in a way that the whole team operates as one intelligent field, rather than sum total of talented individuals.

Dubai Sustainability Un-conference & the Field of New Possibilities

The next Dubai’s un-conference is going to happen in 4 days from now. In the past few weeks I have been working with a couple of friends to see a flow for the beginning session. It will be a two hour collective session and the initial objective we saw for it was: To collectively bring more visibility, clarity and shared vision to the group, with regards to Sustainability and the complex co-relation between social, economic and environmental factors. Finally, after a journey of co-sensing and co-designing with a couple of friends, the flow for this session is in place. Knowing the importance of the framing for the collective journeys, today morning I have been sitting with the question of “What is the new field of possibility that needs to be framed?” And here is what I have been able to see so far:

Leadership paradigm and ecosystem awareness

Many times when in a conversation with friends, we realize how the current paradigm of leadership does not serve the whole. And not only it does not serve, but it creates the results that none of us is looking for in the long run. Therefore, it’s important to shift the leadership paradigm in order for us to collectively innovate new social structures that are organic, holistic and at the service of the people and the planet.

A few days ago I had a heart-opening conversation with my friend Kristina, and this issue came to surface again. We recognized the following fundamental shifts in our modern paradigm that is already happening, which could be extended to the leadership paradigm as well:

Spacial dynamics and the source of intelligence

When I sat today at a coffee place by a lake in Dubai, I suddenly sensed a vibe within me to come here and write down some words. The vibe brought me back Filiz’s words on Spacial Dynamics > MedicineWords.

How much are our moods, feelings, thoughts and actions affected by the energies of the space? How much are we aware of such energies, and how would it affect our life journeys if we become more conscious of them?

The DNA of a collective field

As Otto Scharmer and many other thought leaders call it, shifting from an Egosystem awareness to Ecosystem awareness is the essence of leadership at this time. For that to happen, we are called to consciously (re-)invent and give shape to the basic patterns of our collective fields.
How do we come together?
How do we think and sense together?
And how do we create together?

It’s not just about coming together in any form, or with the patterns of the past that we are conditioned with. We need to become aware of the level of attention and intention that we bring to our collective fields, and invent the new patterns and processes that will allow us re-align our energies with the larger systems within which we are operating. These core patterns could actually be seen as the DNA of a new species.
