A Symphony of Life

It's Friday, 8 o'clock in the morning and I am sitting in Mamzar park in Dubai. First I go through the list of the music in the iPod. Reaching at the end of the list, I decide to put it back in my pocket and just sit, pay attention and write what ever comes to my mind.

Once focused, there are tens, maybe hundreds of birds singing all together. Pigeons, Doves, Crows and many other kind of birds which I don't know their names. It's an uproar of excitement. When sitting at the same place at night time, there is only the sound of crickets. But now it's different. The space is filled with excitement and energy. There goes a dialogue in my head:

- What's going on? Why are they so excited?
- I guess it's because of the sun. It goes like: Light > Energy > Movement > Life > Beauty of Life > Perception of the Beauty of Life > Excitement > Happiness > Singing & Dancing & Celebration of Life.

Birds do not have enough memories to develop the concepts of the past and the future. There is nothing to cling to. For them, a new day is a new life. Once the sun is up and shining, everything is new. How can you be not excited in that situation? How can you not to start your day with singing and dancing? It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life.

These days, many times I come to the point that, maybe we are here to sing. Instead of competing in climbing up the ladder of success, maybe we are here to dance. Maybe we are here to celebrate life? What do you think?

Back to myself, maybe I shouldn't be thinking now. Maybe I shouldn't be writing. Maybe I should be listening and enjoying the symphony of life. Or maybe I should just be. I will close my notebook now.

:)
HMmmmm... It's been a while since the last time I listened to the nature or the "symphony of life".
I miss living in towns. In this city, I just hear the noise of cars and rushing and running people:(

Lovely writing Kamyar,
You are talented my friend.
Funny, a few days ago I was listening to the singing birds in a lovely garden we have, close to a beautiful lake. I was taken by their beautiful sounds, lovely breeze coming from the lake, and the greenearry around me soooo much that I felt upset about having to leave this house in a near FUTURE. Worrying about the future is my case I am afraid.
BUT I am working on it with first prayers in a day remembering and counting my blessings:)

Quality of life is not measured only by what we gain, but also by what we trade for it.
