Matt Dancing; A Dance of Unity

A couple of years ago, when I first heard about YouTube website, I went to the most viewed videos section. 'Where the hell is Matt?' was one of the most viewed of all time, and if I am not mistaken, the number of views was less than a million.

Today morning I received an email from Susan, titled 'Dance of Unity' and it contained the link to the new version of 'Where the hell is Matt?'. It was great to watch Matt dancing again. It's truly a dance of unity, very inspiring. Mention the amount of joy you can see in the faces and bodies of the people who join Matt, specially children.

Also, don't miss Matt's interview. A great example of listening to your heart and taking action, trusting your feelings. Then the universe replies back with a flow which will carry you on a speed you could never imagine.

Listen to your heart and do it

Last night I got the chance to watch a documentary movie about Dubai. It was produced on 1974 by Kamran Shirdel, an Iranian documentarist.

After the movie there was a Q&A session with the director. A guy who looked like a student asked him about the steps to become a good director. Kamran's answer was very close to the ideas and concepts that I am engaged with these days; learning. His answer was:

Spend time with people who know how to do it, people who inspire you. Watch them and work with them. Learn through doing and learn together. When it comes to your own movie, first you have to listen to your heart, a great movie starts from your heart and connects to other hearts. Sense the subject, feel it and then follow the flow which will carry you. Just do it and you will learn it.

Are we in tune?

Sitting still on the beach, breathing consciously and focusing on whatever happens inside the body, including all the senses and feelings. Deeper and deeper, there is the sound of the waves, a couple of birds singing and the leaves of the palm trees moving with the wind. They are all in tune.

There comes a thought, "are we - humans - in tune with the rest of the universe?"

Suddenly a huge ugly sound covers everything else. You open the eyes and look around. A crane is dropping huge stones in to the sea. We are creating an island here! An island with the shape of a palm.

Dancing with Dolphins in Dubai

Dolphin has been my favorite animal since I remember, but only a few years ago I came to know the reason. Sahar and I were chatting and she started asking me questions, a kind of psychology test. One question was "if you are alone on an island and you can choose an animal to be with you, what will be your choice?" I had to answer on the spot, and the answer was dolphin.

After some more questions, she asked me "what characteristics do you see in dolphins?" and my answer was kindness and intelligence. It was a great moment for me. Right after that I started to look around and see a pattern in my life which I couldn't see before. Kindness and intelligence were the characteristics of most of the people I was attracted to.

Two days ago I had a dream come true. I got the chance to swim and dance with three dolphins, who were indeed kind and intelligent. An experience which was very special to me. It was a brilliant gift from my sister Maryam to the little kid inside me, the real me. And I can't thank her enough.
